Plans, lists, and sunshine

I was looking over my calendar today, and my weekends until August are pretty full. It's a great thing that I have all these plans and events and things to do but at the same time I just want to sleep in, lay out at the pool, and hang out.

This summer: I'm assisting with some weddings to help me decide whether wedding planning is something I'd be interested in. Going to all the country concerts at Jiffy Lube Pavilion with my best friend. White water tubing in WV. A couple of weddings to attend with Dave. The return of Walter from Iraq! 4th of July and all of the craziness that comes with the holiday here in DC. Hopefully there will be other things too...like a visit to the batting cages, the shooting range, camping (yeah I said camping haha), etc.

Who knows but even if nothing on that list gets done and all I do is hang out with these next 3 people all summer, I'll be good.

My best friend...who I have back in my everyday life!

These surfin fools...

Spending some quality time with this guy...we're not naked, we're in bathing suits...just to clarify.

Um No

Sorry, No offense to this guy but seriously? Really? Gah!

I read today on one of the blogs I follow about proposal planning. Yeah for real. Now I'm all for engagement party planning help, wedding planning, etc...but paying someone to help you plan your proposal? No thanks. You're going to pay someone who doesn't know your girlfriend to come up with something? This is crazy. Call her best friend. Call her mom. Call her long lost aunt that knew her in her pretty pretty princess phase. Call someone that KNOWS her. Hopefully by this point in your relationship you know her well enough to know what she would want and don't need a perfect strangers help.
This also takes away from the intimate moment of it all. Having a photogropher pop out at the same time as being asked that question would probably take more of my attention than the question at hand. As much as I like my picture taken, it'd be distracting. Unless you've got my best friend hiding in the bushes somewhere taking secret photos so that I'm enjoying our moment and not worrying about Franz the photographer getting my best angles then I'll pass.
But seriously guys...use a little inspiration, pay attention to what she says...and most of all if she loves you it won't matter if you're in the middle of the grocery store or at home making the bed when you ask.
