Slow Your Roll

I love the holidays, believe me I do, BUT I have an issue with Christmas decorations, music, and candy out when Thanksgiving hasn't even happened. I'm one of the first people to put up their tree (usually the day after Thanksgiving), but my rule is not till after Turkey Day.

I walked into the lobby of my office building this morning, and there were Christmas wreaths, garland, and a Christmas tree all put up. I'm more than happy to have that up next week but come on Thanksgiving is a measly 4 days away....can't you wait?

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's got family, friends, football, socially acceptable nap time, and no work. The only way that it could be better was if I got presents!

This Thanksgiving my family is going to my grandparents only a few hours away. My sister and her boyfriend are coming, and I'm bringing my boyfriend Steve. This is kind of a big deal for me, I've never taken anyone home to meet my extended family. Steve and I have both never been away from our families for the holidays, so it means a lot to me that he's willing and excited to come with me and spend time for Thanksgiving.

Let's get through this holiday before looking to the next. So for the next few days...gobble gobble.
