My Grandma used to tell me, "you're eyes are bigger than your stomach." And she was always right. I would load my plate up and eat enough to barely "feed a bird", which I think is a cute southern way of saying I don't eat a lot.

As always with every insignificant thing I write about, I can incorporate it into other aspects of my life. So here we go. Sometimes I have a tendency to think I can take on more than I actually can. I want the whole thing (the California roll and the eel roll for example) but can only handle part of it. In my life I tend to want more than I am ready (or qualified) for. Yes, that corner office looks nice, but I have to pay my dues. After all I'm only 23. I'm learning things every day about myself and my perception on life and this was just another milestone.
My advice is to take things as they come...don't get greedy because in the end you're satisfied regardless of whether you've eaten every thing or just what filled you up. Most of the time when you attempt to eat it all, you pay for it by getting a stummy* ache. And in life you can't take an antacid and feel better in 30 minutes. Think about that.
*Stummy-A Lauren term for your stomach/tummy.
