Text Me

Somehow I still get drunk text messages on a Thursday night.  The one from last night said, "you say no..but drunken txt fingers say yes... ughh."At 11:29 PM last night when I received this, sadly I'd been in bed and asleep for at least an hour. Reading it in my sleeping state it didn't make sense. And you know what, re-reading it this morning it STILL didn't make sense. The only thing I could do was to text my friend back this morning asking, what? It took him some time to respond (obviously) due to the night's activities. He did in fact get back to me with an explanation and I'll explain it to you.
Apparently I'm his go to girl. He texted me instead of texting a couple of choice females that he "definitely should not have". The translation for his text means that I've said no about these particular girls (because they're bad for him, wrong, and unavailable) but when he's drunk he'd like to text them and then he's aggravated about it thus the ughh. lol. Have I got it right IV?
I love the calls, I love the dispensing of advice and I usually do feel that I'm right in my opinions being an outside party to these situations. Sometimes though, and they are very few and far between moments, I feel that I shouldn't give this advice. But then I come to my senses (as only a magnificent advice giver can) and I remember that if these boys would have listened to me all the time they wouldn't have ended up in some of the situations or places they did.
I like to think that when it comes to other people's problems I'm pretty level headed and rational. Mind you, this doesn't really transfer over to my own life but I never ask myself for advice so I'm alright with that. I run to the same people that call me seeking help for advice and a listening ear of my own. So thanks guys for always being there and next time I get a late night phone call I'll try to answer and sleepily talk you out of whatever it is you want to be talked out of doing.
