Prost!

SUMMER IS HERE!

Today is the official start of summer and I guess it's only fitting to start the day off at 83 degrees at 8 in the morning. Although to me, it's hot as shize.

For Father's Day and Anne's B-day we went to this new beer garden in DC. Walking into the place I wasn't all that impressed but then we opened the door to the patio and I'm pretty sure God shone a light and the Ahhhh noise was made as I looked outside. It was like I was transported home to Germany. The food was good, the beer was better, and the conversation, as always, was amusing and fun.

I think one thing I'm learning being in this relationship is how important it is to talk about things. I'm pretty sure Dave and I made the guy next to us at The Cheesecake Factory a little uncomfortable because we were having a heated discussion on a few topics where our opinions differ. We weren't fighting, we weren't yelling, we were merely bringing up our opposing thoughts and beliefs. I think they should probably not have those tables so close. Dude and I could have touched elbows, and he kept looking over....I mean I understand you're like 6 inches away from me but still, eat your pasta and tune us out.

The weekend was a black and white cookie. Half good and half bad. But I'm trying to focus on the better half, because regardless of what side of the cookie I'm eating it's still full of sugary goodness.
