Yesterday Dave came over after work, and he was wearing a suit! For his new job he's wearing civilian attire, and he looked snazzy. But it was also weird because it made me think when did I grow up? When did I start dating men in suits? When did it happen that I go to bed early, so I can wake up for work at 8? As Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy said, "We're adults. When did that happen? And how do we make it stop?"
I don't necessarily want it to stop but I don't feel like I am old enough to be here. I still feel 16 but have to realize sometimes that I'm not.
However, I do realize I'm 24 and and adult when:
I get excited about finding the trash chute in my new apartment building, sleeping in on the weekends is 8:30 a.m, at Target I buy cleaning supplies, I have to look at my calendar before agreeing to anything, presents consist of Tupperware...and I'm excited about it, and I remember my best friend is getting married.
98..99..100 Grown up life, ready or not, here I come.
I guess it's inevitable.
I LOVE going to Target to get cleaning supplies!!! I guess this is why we are sisters.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, today all I needed was toilet paper and I had to nearly hold my breath to not go looking at other cleaning supplies.
It's kind of weird, when you think about it.
But also pretty sweet. ;)
Isn't it weird? I can't believe we're growing up. All I know is that I'm glad I have you as a best friend to grow up with :) Love you!
