This past Saturday I joined the preppy, seersucker wearing, bowtie rocking, wine drinking in the morning, people at the Virginia Gold Cup for the horse races. And let me tell you it was a good time. Yes, we had to wake up early to get out there but it was well worth it because we got a prize spot by the fence.
We had fold out chairs, quilts, and a table that was covered with food. Our cooler was overfilled with treats and alcoholic beverages, and the day was beautiful. It might possibly have been a little too hot, but there was always shade in the form of an umbrella or crawling under the table.

It was the first day that felt like summer was just around the corner. Drinking outside, oh how I've missed you.
Stay tuned, Heather and I have some crazy plans for the summer...Tour De Franzia anyone? I think so. Although that definitely won't be as classy.
