Trials and tribulations

Life is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you're gonna get.

I think we all know which movie this quote is from and although I hate Forrest Gump, I think that this fits life right now. Life is random and doesn't always go the way you planned but things will work out in the end.

Couple of things going on:

I found a new job!!!! Which in and of itself is a great thing because I don't like my current one. The call came randomly and I wasn't expecting it, which makes it even sweeter. Sometimes I'm amazed at how things happen. I'll be doing something meaningful and it's a big step up for me so I'm excited. I'll write more about it when I start in a week or so.

I found out this morning that a good friend of mine was hurt in Afghanistan this week. He's going to be ok, although it will be a long recovery process. Regardless of everyone's feelings about the war and whether we should be over there or not please pray for all those that are overseas. My friend, let's call him "Danger", is heading to the states to go to the Army hospital Walter Reed and I can't wait to see him. So please if you know anyone over there send them a message, write them a letter, just let them know you're supporting them and they're not forgotten because they're a world away. Keep them in your hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
