Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
And it just might. The forecast is calling from anywhere between 2-14 inches of snow this weekend starting around 9 p.m tonight. This is really perfect because snow always helps put me more in the Christmas spirit. Since returning from my cruise I am ready now to fully embrace the cold and Christmastime. My mom and I went to The National Symphony Orchestra's Handel's Messiah at the Kennedy Center last night. It was in a word, amazing. At one point I was moved to tears. I'm always in awe at how music can affect me. I also love Christmas carols, and holiday songs. My top three as of right now are: Taylor Swift's Silent Night, White Christmas by Bing Crosby, and of course the Chipmunk song.
So here's to sledding, ice-skating and the like. Remember that no matter how old you are, you're never too old to stand in the snow with your head tilted towards the sky trying to catch a snowflake on your tongue.
Bundle up...it's supposed to be cold out there.
