Ketchup

I've been quite busy lately...and honestly haven't had the brain power to write witty entries. I've tried half-heartedly a couple of times since my last one, but to no avail. So here I am catching up. The things that have been going on....
Well there was the Army Ten Miler.

Megan came up and stayed with me for the weekend of the Ten Miler. Luckily she was able meet up with some of her old friends and run together! Megan and her friend Kara both ran faster than they thought they would! Steve ran better than he expected too. He finished 18th out of 21,000 and some people. Crazy runners.
The race started at the Pentagon and then ran through DC. I (because I'm a sane individual) did not participate but I did wake my cute little butt up way too early for a Sunday and went to support Meg and Steve and everyone else who ran. It was fun, and my legs didn't hurt at the end.

Then there was this past weekend full of no plans, just time for myself to do things I wanted to. Things such as finishing the new Nicholas Sparks book The Last Song, catch up on scrapbooking (yes, I'm that cool), and sleep in. I think the sleeping in part was key, and usually I would feel really lazy sleeping in till 10 ok ok you got me 10:45 but I needed it. And to be honest I did wake up two days in a row at 7:15 freaking out that I was going to be late for work, and had to calm myself back to sleep. The long weekend also consisted of a trip to the Steelers Bar for Sunday's game against the Lions. WE WON just FYI! Steve is yet another Steelers convert thanks to my family. Dad and I made him wear a jersey to the bar...and he did so willingly...for the most part.

THEN there was pumpkin carving! I had to hone my skills and practice so that I can beat my best friend at it this weekend when I visit her in North Cacalacci. I must say Steve and his family brought some fierce competition and I had so much fun.

Steve and I
(Oh yea we're officially together...again)

The whole fam and their significant others.

Deep concentration

My pumpkin rocks!

Everyone's masterpieces.
Witch, pukin pumpkin, mummy, cat on fence, scarecrow punkin head guy, and a pole vaulter.

The three day weekend was much needed to re-charge my batteries and get me back and connected with myself. And it gave me some quality time with my country boy.
