Ribbit

I'm not usually one to jump ahead of holiday's but this year I can't seem to help it. I started Christmas shopping last weekend and the lady at the store informed me that there are only 10 Saturday's until Christmas! I know! How insane is that? Now, I'm a Thanksgiving girl, always have been. It's my favorite holiday. I love the smell, I love the food, I love how my family gets together, I love football, I love the naps after turkey. I just love all that Thanksgiving entails. But somehow this year I'm less excited for Thanksgiving (probably because my plans for going to my boyfriend's to meet his extended family may fall through due to my lack of leave because of the cruise we're going on). I know, feel sad for me- it's hard. But knowing that I might possibly be away from him on my favorite holiday makes me bummed. So I'm skipping forward to Christmas because I finally have my own place with allllll my decorations, ornaments, etc. AND I'm hoping to buy a 7 ft. tree on Friday from someone on Craigslist. Hopefully it's not a shady deal and I get a non-Charlie Brown tree. I'm anxious to see what all I've collected over the years all in one place of my own for once.

Let's now address what really got me started on this whole post. MY FROG RING. My cousin Anne and I met up at Eastern Market after church last Sunday to start looking around in hopes of finding presents for people for Christmas. (I've sworn I'm not buying anyone anything from Target this year, I'm trying to take a more thoughtful and unique approach to gifts this year.) As we were perusing we stumbled across this funky jewelry stand and spend a good 10 minutes trying on crazy rings. I kept coming back to this utterly ridiculous frog ring. However, I couldn't imagine leaving without it so I bought it.

You may be thinking that it looks like something your grandma has in her jewelry box, and you're probably right. But I don't care. I'm rocking it and I think it's fun. And to any of you who are worried about getting similar presents for Christmas-don't fret. I take your personality into consideration whilst buying. Lucky you.
